The purpose of this Cookie Policy (hereinafter “the Policy”) is to explain to Users of the academy.euronews.com site (hereinafter “the Site”) how Euronews SA, with its principal place of business at 56 quai Rambaud, 69002 Lyon, uses Cookies on their devices.

This Policy may be updated at any time, in particular depending on the implementation of new Services for Euronews Academy or the evolution of the Cookie Law. In the event of any conflict between the current version of this Policy and any previous version(s), the provisions current and in effect shall prevail unless it is expressly stated otherwise.

1. Definitions 

In this Policy the following terms shall have the following meanings:

Consent” of the Data subject means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the Data subject's wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of Personal Data relating to him or her;

Consent Management Plateform” means a platform that allows the Site to easily set up an interface for collecting User Consent for the deposit of Cookies on their Terminal. It retains User choices and implements solutions to respect these choices.

Personal Data” or “Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘Data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location Data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person; 

Processing (of Personal Data) means any operation carried out on your Personal Data such as the collection, access, modification, consultation of your Data; 

"Services": means collectively any online facilities, tools, services or information that Euronews makes available through the Site either now or in the future (please see ;

Terminal” means any device you use to access the Site (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.)

Users” means visitors of the Site

2. Why do we use Cookies? 

The purpose of using Cookies is to help us keep track of your visits and activity on the Site, and to distinguish you from other Users. By using Cookies, we are able to provide you with a better experience and to improve the Site by better understanding how you use it.

The Site may place and access first-party Cookies on your Terminal. First-party Cookies are those placed directly by us and are used only by us. 4.What information do we access thanks to Cookies?

5. What is the lifespan of a Cookie?

Cookies are placed on your Terminal for a period of 13 months maximum in accordance with the Cookie Law.

Your Consent is kept for 6 months. After 6 months, we ask you again to give your Consent.
